Few Hundred New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Kentucky Friday

Governor Andy Beshear announced over 300 new cases of COVID-19 Friday.

As of 3:00 PM, 331 new cases were confirmed bringing the statewide case total to 12,166. As the governor reported yesterday, the increase in cases from Thursday to Friday is attributed to a national backlog in a data management system.

Four new deaths were also reported Friday, including one from Fayette County and three from Jefferson County. The state’s death toll now sits at 497.

In addition, Governor Beshear is encouraging all voters to use a new absentee ballot request application at govoteky.com. The deadline to request a ballot is Monday.
