Assistant Superindent Named At Christian County Schools

The assistant principal at Christian County High School has been named as the new assistant superintendent of operations in the district.

According to Christian County Public Schools’ spokesman John Rittenhouse, newly appointed Christian County Public Schools’ Superintendent Chris Bentzel announced Thursday morning that Josh Hunt will replace Brad Hawkins, who recently announced he is retiring in November. Bentzel says Hunt will direct and supervise the development, implementation, and coordination in all phases of district operations. In addition, Hunt will assist and support improvement in the district’s secondary schools.

Rittenhouse says Hunt is a native of Crofton and holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Brescia University and Master’s and Education Specialist Degrees from Murray State University. His wife Miranda is a teacher at Cumberland Hall and they have two children — Landon who attends Christian County Middle School, and their daughter Harper who attends Millbrooke Elementary School.
