A traffic stop on South O’Neal Avenue led to the arrest of two Hopkinsville men Thursday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle after the driver disregarded a stop sign and failed to use a turn signal just after 9 pm.
Both men inside the vehicle 26-year-old Najahwan Wills and 18-year-old Austin Wetenkamp were reportedly found to have a stolen handgun.
During the stop, police say they could smell Marijuana and found some in Wills’s belongings.
Both men are charged with receiving stolen property. Wills was also charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana.
