Griffin’s Studio To Close Storefront

Griffin’s Studio, an eclectic gift shop and art studio in downtown Hopkinsville, announced they are closing their storefront by the end of the summer.

In a post to social media, owner Griffin Moore says the business has been open since September 13th, 2013 and it’s time for a change. Moore says after having two children it has become increasingly difficult to balance her time at home and time at the shop/studio.

She adds the new direction for Griffin’s Studio includes eliminating the storefront and operating as a pop-up art studio to continue providing enriched art experiences. Other services to continue are art-to-go packages for birthdays and other group gatherings and creating commissioned artworks and designs.

Moore says the COVID-19 pandemic had no effect on this decision and took the time to thank her family who helped her on this journey of owning a small business.

She says there is still time to come in and shop and use any gift cards you may have. Art-to-go packages will be available as they have done through the pandemic, as well as private art lessons.
