Trigg Hospital To Allow One Designated Visitor Per Patient

Beginning Friday, Trigg County Hospital will allow one designated visitor per patient at the medical facility after restrictions were put into place in March to ensure the health and safety of staff and patients due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Hospital CEO John Sumner tells the News Edge they will be taking precautionary measures when a designated visitor comes to see a patient.

He adds the Primary Care clinic is available for walk-ins on the weekends.

In addition, Sumner wants residents to be aware there will not be any COVID testing available at the clinic during weekend hours in order for them to appropriately manage how they utilize personal protection equipment (PPE) along with minimum staff being available to provide testing.
