A Kenwood Drive home was damaged and a family has been displaced after a fire Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Captain Michael Pendleton said the fire is believed to have started around the stove and caused minor fire damage to the kitchen. Pendleton said the family will not be able to stay in the home temporarily due to some smoke damage and a busted water pipe.
Police were called to the home for a possible disturbance then minutes later firefighters were called for smoke inside the home.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the family.
