Police have released the name of a woman injured in a wreck on East 1st Street at the intersection of South Virginia Street Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say an SUV driven by 36-year-old Tracie Chilton was eastbound on East 1st Street when she pulled into the path of a northbound car driven by 56-year-old Sharon Gee on South Virginia Street.
The SUV collided with the car then a utility pole and a street sign. The utility pole broke in half causing electrical lines to fall into the parking lot and across East 1st Street.
Gee was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for neck, arm, and chest pain. Chilton was also cited for not having insurance.
