Hopkinsville Police Charge Man With Hitting Fleeing Girlfriend’s Vehicle


A Clarksville man was charged after he hit his girlfriend’s vehicle while she and her baby attempted to get away from him in Hopkinsville Thursday night.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to South Main Street for a report of a disturbance and found 23-year-old Tyler Blackwell under the influence of alcohol and arguing with a woman in the driveway.

Blackwell reportedly damaged several items in their home and took the woman’s phone along with threatening to punch your teeth out when she tried to call for help.

When his girlfriend attempted to leave in her vehicle with her child he allegedly hit her vehicle with his truck.

Blackwell is charged with intimidating a participant in a legal process, unlawful imprisonment, alcohol intoxication in a public place, and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
