Beshear Asks Residents To Not Travel To Tennessee

During his Friday update, Governor Andy Beshear asked residents who live along the Tennessee border to restrict travel into the Volunteer state until further notice.

Beshear says residents should not be driving into Tennessee unless you are heading to work, taking care of a loved one, or shopping for groceries.

Beshear stresses if you visit Tennessee, you could possibly bring the virus back home.

Beshear also gave a shoutout to two Christian County residents that are doing extraordinary things.

As of Friday afternoon, the state had 302 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

He adds a 77-year old male from Hopkins County, a 73-year old female from Jefferson County, and a 75-year old female from Fayette County lost their lives Friday, with COVID-19 listed as a contributing factor.

At the end of the news conference, UK Basketball Coach John Calipari urged residents to give to the Team Kentucky fund.
