Second Case Of COVID-19 Reported At Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell officials have confirmed the second case of COVID-19 at the installation.

The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) reports the case comes from a dependent of a military Retiree at Fort Campbell and the individual is isolated at home off of the installation. The person has not required hospitalization and had recently traveled to Europe.

Upon notification of the result, Blanchfield Army Community Hospital health professionals ensured the person was medically cared for and immediately began conducting contract tracing with appropriate authorities to determine whether any others have been exposed.

Officials are continually implementing appropriate control measures to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, including; limiting all manning to mission essential personnel, modifying restaurant services to to-go orders only, modifying dining facilities to grab-and-go only, limiting childcare facilities to mission-essential clients, and other safety measures.
