The Planters Bank – Jennie Stuart Health Sportsplex Hopkinsville was the recent winner of a Compass award from the Christian County Chamber of Commerce.
Marketing Director Chris Jung says they were excited to win the Horizon Award, which is given to a business less than three years old, which is showing tremendous promise for future growth and making a significant impact in the community.
He adds they have much more to do at the Sportsplex.
Jung says they are off to a good start in year two.
In addition, they are planning for the second Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K sponsored again by Planters Bank and Jennie Stuart Health. The event will take place on September 19 and showcases Hopkinsville and Christian County. Over 100 people have signed up for the race that raised over $14,000 for the United Way of the Pennyrile last year.
