The Hopkinsville Rotary Club officially kicked off the 70th Annual Rotary Auction fundraising efforts during Tuesday’s meeting.
Rotary is celebrating a century of service this year with a milestone 70th auction that will focus on a tradition of service above self.
Auction Chair Scott Cowan says they still have sponsorships available for those interested in participating.
He adds this year’s raffle will award cash rather than items to simplify the process.
He says they will be hosting a kickoff event at Casey Jones Distillery as well as a History on Tap event the week before the auction.
The auction will take place April 20-25 with the goal of raising $300,000. All funds go to assisting students in furthering their education.
