Pence Encourages Military Spouses During Fort Campbell Visit (w/VIDEO)

The Second Lady of the United States encouraged military wives and left them with promising updates from the White House during a visit to Fort Campbell Friday morning.

Karen Pence, wife to Vice-President Mike Pence, spoke to hundreds of military wives during the visit, thanking them for their perseverance and service to the country.

 

She commends the servicemen and women of Fort Campbell for their dedication to the nation.

 

Pence notes new legislation from President Donald Trump further invests in our military.

 

She says President Trump has made improvements that will aid military spouses in retaining jobs.

 

Pence adds her office is consistently reaching out to partners of the agreement to ensure consistent cooperation.

Leah Esper

The Second Lady was introduced by Leah Esper, wife to Secretary of Defense Mark Esper. She has personal connections to Fort Campbell, noting her last visit was to welcome her husband home from Operation Desert Storm.

Bowler being recognized as Military Spouse of the Year

Pence also highlighted Michelle Bowler who was recently named the Fort Campbell Military Spouse of The Year.
