Stewart County Man Charged With Child Abuse

A Stewart County, Tennessee man has been arrested and charged in an alleged child abuse case.

At the request of the 23rd District Attorney General, special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating 26-year old Stephen Woolman who was accused of causing serious injuries to his three-year-old stepson at the family’s home on Hidden Hollow Drive in Dover. The assault reportedly led to the child being hospitalized.

As a result of the investigation, TBI Agents developed information leading to the arrest of Woolman as the individual being responsible for the crime. He was booked into the Stewart County Jail charged with one count of aggravated child abuse. He is being held without bond.
