Clarksville Robbery Investigation Leads To Three Arrests

(Left to Right: Gary Heitzenrater, Brook Walker, and Levi Thornton)

A robbery investigation in Clarksville over the weekend led to the arrest of three people.

Clarksville police report 36-year old Gary Heitzenrater sent a text to 40-year old Brooke Walker on “OneBackPage.com” and agreed to meet at a local hotel and have sex in exchange for money. Once inside the room, Heitzenrater placed $140 on the counter and Walker made an excuse to leave the room. Police say 22-year old Levin Thornton was hiding in the closet and when Walker left the room he came out of the closet with a hatchet. He then allegedly told Heitzenrater to leave the money and get out of the room, but Heitzenrater demanded his money back. Police say Thornton then threw some money at Heitzenrater, which he grabbed and then left. After he left, Heitzenrater realized the money was counterfeit and called police.

An investigation revealed the phone number listed in the ad came back to Walker’s phone, a hatchet was located in the room and the counterfeit money was seized.

All three were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Thornton was charged with aggravated robbery, Walker was charged with criminal conspiracy and promoting prostitution, and Heitzenrater was charged with patronizing prostitution.
