Cadiz Police In Process Of Hiring Additional Officers

The Cadiz Police Department announced the hiring of two people that will soon be trained to become police officers during Tuesday’s city council meeting.

Chief Duncan Wiggins told council members the department recently went through a hiring process and decided to hire two men that live in the region.

He adds they are proud to see them going soon to the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training in Richmond.

If they remain on that training schedule, both men would graduate on Friday, October 9.

Wiggins notes they are also in the process of possibly hiring a third individual.

Wiggins also told Council that they have added video surveillance to create a safe place for people to meet in front of the department on Marion Street.

The next Cadiz City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 6:00 at city hall on Main Street.
