Trigg Leadership Class Moving To Next Step For New Stage

Cadiz City Council gave the green light to allow the Trigg County Leadership Class of 2020 to move forward in getting bids for the stage project they are working on during their Tuesday night meeting.

Class member Kyle Cunningham says the stage will be placed in the spot and position as the current one.

Cunningham notes the new stage will feature a pitched roof and the latest estimates for the project could be up to $50,000.

Ronald Johnson Associates President Frank Williams notes the current design of the stage is simple.

The Bicentennial Stage, as it will be named, will be funded by donations from the community since it’s a leadership class project.

Council members unanimously approved the motion to allow the class to seek bids for the project.

In addition, the council approved the second reading of the city’s personnel and pay classification plan. The updated plan now includes a part-time Code Enforcement Officer that can earn up to $18,000 a year. The Cadiz Police Department recently hired Charles Hiter as the Code Enforcement Officer.
