KYTC To Present J-Turn Proposal For 68/139 Trigg Intersection

Example of a J-Turn – Provided by Alana Dunn

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet officials will be at the Trigg County Fiscal Court meeting Monday night to present an option to make the U.S. 68/80 and Kentucky 139 intersection safer.

Trigg County Fiscal Court Magistrate Alana Dunn posted on social media Monday afternoon that a J-Turn is being considered for the intersection that has been the site of several injury and fatal crashes since it was built. Dunn adds traffic flow on U.S. 68 would not change, however, you would not be able to cut straight across to continue traveling on Kentucky 139. She adds instead, vehicles would have to make a right turn, proceed through a U-turn in the median, and make a left turn to proceed.

Several will be on hand Monday night to hear the information presented to Trigg County magistrates. The News Edge will share reactions to the proposal from magistrates and additional information about the intersection following the meeting.
