Applications are being accepted by Jennie Stuart Health for the Henry R. Bell, M.D. Scholarship Fund.
According to officials, a total of four $2,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school students interested in a career in the healthcare field. Students from Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties are welcome to apply.
The Bell Scholarship Fund awards scholarships based on the student’s motivation and financial needs. The fund was established by the Medical Staff and the Jennie Stuart Medical Center Board of Trustees in honor of Dr. Henry R. Bell, a family practice physician at the hospital for a number of years. Dr. Bell also founded the Bell Clinic in Elkton.
Applications are available online at JennieStuartHealth.org and can be submitted to Jennie Stuart Health, 320 West 18th Street, Hopkinsville, Kentucky 42241. Applications should be sent to the attention of Anita Walker. The deadline to submit applications is April 1. All applicants need to include a copy of their high school transcript from the last school attended and submit one letter of recommendation from a non-relative.
Officials say the selected winners will be notified by mail.
