Man Charged In Christian County Robbery

A Hopkinsville man was charged Tuesday morning after he reportedly assaulted a man with a baseball bat and took his vehicle on old Madisonville Road Saturday morning.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Andy Sanderson said Michael Davis got into an argument with his boyfriend 22-year-old Christopher Daniel over text messages on his phone and Daniel used a baseball bat to assault him

After reportedly hitting Davis in the head with the baseball bat Daniel took money and Davis’s SUV that was later found on Honeysuckle Drive in Hopkinsville.

Daniel was arrested on Glass Avenue Tuesday morning and charged with second-degree assault and robbery.
