Members of an area chapter of Quilts of Valor are looking for volunteers and donors to help make quilts.
Member Nancy Beecher says they will be participating in the National Quilts of Valor Foundation Sew Day on February 1.
Beecher adds a typical quilt costs between $250 and $350.
Quilt and Sew at Golden Threads Owner Denise Shivers notes anyone can join their chapter of Quilts of Valor.

To this day, 240,000 quilts have been distributed nationwide through the Quilts of Valor program.
