Cadiz and Trigg County will celebrate the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday in a special way Monday morning.
Genesis Express President George Radford tells the News Edge the 26th annual march will begin in downtown Cadiz.
He adds they will make a special stop at Genesis Express on Jefferson Street during the march.
The main program will take place at 11:00 at Bloomfield Baptist Church and will feature two former Trigg County residents who have faced major medical issues. Danielle (Wharton) Rufli will give the “Why We March” speech and Carletta Cunningham will speak on the march theme “Moving Right Along”.Radford notes the 2020 march was organized by Arthur Hopson, who recently passed away.
During the program at Bloomfield Baptist Church, the Trigg County Community Choir will provide music and afterward refreshments will be served in Curlin Fellowship Hall.
