TCHS Looking For Volunteers For Operation Preparation

Trigg County High School is gearing up for its annual Operation Preparation event and is needing volunteers to help make it a success.

Career and Post-Secondary Coordinator Cammie Evans tells the News Edge the event will be a little different this year.

Evans adds volunteers will talk with students about their career plans.

She adds Operation Preparation started in 2012 as a statewide initiative and was developed as a way for students to have one-on-one conversations with those in career fields they are interested in.

Evans says they are looking for volunteers from any career field, especially health care.

All volunteers will have to take part in a training session before working with the 10th-grade students.

The 8th-grade session of Operation Preparation will take place in April. For additional information, call Evans at (270) 522-6075 or visit trigg.kyschools.us and click on the ‘Forms and Links’ tab. Volunteers need to register by Friday, January 24.
