Welfare Check Led To Drug Charges In Hopkinsville

A check the welfare request led to a couple being arrested on East 9th Street Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they received a call of a woman being held against her will at a home on East 9th Street in the area of McLean Avenue.

Police reportedly found 32-year-old Allison Hunter and 29-year-old Adam Fletcher inside after they would not exit the home right away for police.

Police say Hunter was not being held against her will.

Fletcher was arrested on a warrant for second-degree bail jumping. Hunter was charged with trafficking meth and hindering prosecution or apprehension.
