The Hopkinsville/Christian County YMCA is kicking off the new year by making it cheaper to purchase a membership.
Membership and Marketing Director Jason Strickland says they are offering a 50% discount on membership fees through Friday as a part of their New Year, New You campaign.

Strickland notes their Wellness Coaching program helps those who have not exercised with the equipment before.

The YMCA will be kicking off its 2020 annual campaign soon to raise funds for programs that help Christian County students. One fundraiser going on now is a raffle for a pair of UK vs. Florida basketball tickets for the Saturday, February 22 game in Lexington. The cost to be entered into the raffle is $5, with the drawing to take place Monday, February 3.In addition, Strickland notes they will be hosting a Polar Bear Plunge event Saturday, February 1.
