A Hopkinsville man was injured in a single-vehicle wreck on Walnut Street Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say a car driven by 38-year-old Donnie Vaughn was turning onto Walnut Street from East 18th Street when he turned to wide and ran off the road hitting a utility pole.
Vaughn was reportedly unsteady on his feet and told police he took some sleeping medication before the crash. After arriving at the hospital he allegedly told police he did not remember anything after making the turn.
Vaughn was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.
