Another candidate has filed to run for a seat on Hopkinsville City Council in the 2020 election.
According to the Christian County Clerk’s Office, Democrat candidate Caratha Buckner filed Monday for Ward 9. Buckner serves as a commissioner on the Hopkinsville-Christian County Human Rights Commission. She is seeking the seat currently held by Patricia Bell, who has served on City Council since 1999.
Meanwhile, Democrat incumbent Don Ahart filed last week to seek another term for Ward 3 on Hopkinsville City Council. He has served on City Council since 2009.
The filing deadline for local and state races in the upcoming 2020 May primary election is January 10th.
