One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Main Street Monday morning.
Officials with the Caldwell County Office of Emergency Management say that crews were dispatched to reports of a two-vehicle collision in front of Brantley Furniture just before ten. They add that a preliminary investigation revealed that a truck and trailer were parked in front of Brantley Furniture when a passenger vehicle traveling along Main Street struck the left rear corner of the trailer.
The driver, whose name has not been released by authorities, was transported to Caldwell Medical Center for minor injuries. A man, who was attempting to load furniture onto the trailer, refused treatment at the scene.
Emergency Management officials state that traffic was diverted at the intersection of South Harrison Street and Main Street for around 30 minutes as crews worked to clear the scene.
No other information has been released at this time.
