With around 33,000 residents, Hopkinsville is the 6th largest city in Kentucky. It has become a compelling tourist destination that has been recognized as such on an international stage.
Executive Director of the Hopkinsville and Christian County Visitors Bureau Brooke Jung was the featured speaker of Thursday’s Kiwanis meeting. She says tourism is increasing rapidly in Kentucky as well as in Hopkinsville.

Following the close of the Ebonite factory, the community banded together to raise money for the Salvation Army to benefit those who lost their jobs by selling souvenirs.
