Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Russellville Thursday afternoon.
Russellville Police responded to a two-vehicle wreck at the intersection of Kentucky 79 south and the U.S. 68/80 Bypass around 2:00 p.m. Officers say a preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford pickup truck was traveling westbound on the bypass and a GMC pickup truck was traveling northbound on KY 79 south, when both trucks entered the intersection and collided.
Police say a passenger in the GMC pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene by the Logan County Coroner.
The name of the deceased and the drivers involved in the fatal crash have not been released at this time.
