Todd County Sheriff Audits Show No Issues

Kentucky State Auditor Mike Harmon released the audit of the 2018 financial statement for Todd County Sheriff Tracy White Thursday.

The audit reports no instances of noncompliance and no matters involving internal control over financial reporting and its operation that were considered to be a material weakness.

Harmon adds state law requires annual audits of each county sheriff, during which two are completed including the sheriff’s tax account and the fee account used to operate the office. The sheriff’s responsibilities include collecting property taxes, providing law enforcement, and performing services for the county fiscal court and courts of justice. Each sheriff’s office is funded through statutory commissions and fees collected in conjunction with those duties.
