Hopkinsville Man Charged After Police Pursuit

A Hopkinsville man was arrested after he reportedly fled from police Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop 28-year-old Marcus Brown after he was seen by police driving recklessly in the area of College Street.  During the pursuit, he failed to stop and narrowly missed a police cruiser on Woodmill Road.

Multiple officers attempted to stop his vehicle before they lost him. Brown was located a short time later on College Street.  He was arrested and charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.

Brown was also arrested on warrants for parole violation and two counts of contempt of court.
