A Hopkinsville man was arrested on a warrant for assault and burglary on Bill Bryan Boulevard Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say on October 14th 28-year-old Lewis Smith along with two other men entered a Hopkinsville home and attacked a man inside kicking, punching and stomping on the man.
During the assault, one of the suspects reportedly asked another suspect to get a gun from the car but all three men fled when the police were called to the home.
Police say there were several witnesses including children at the home. Smith is charged with first-degree burglary and fourth-degree assault.
