The Trigg County Board of Education could offer a contract to a new Superintendent during a special called meeting Thursday morning.
According to the advance agenda, the board of education will meet in executive session to discuss personnel matters. The agenda indicates following the adjournment of the executive session, the board of education will have the option of offering a contract to a new Superintendent.
If a Superintendent is hired, that will bring to the close a search process that began in June after former Superintendent Travis Hamby resigned to become Superintendent of the Allen County School District. The Superintendents were screened by a committee made up of teachers, board members, and community members.
