Grand Opening Delayed For The Mixer

A much-anticipated restaurant in downtown Hopkinsville reports they will have to delay their grand opening until mid-December.
Owners Graham and Heather Dawson say because of construction delays they will not be able to open until Wednesday, December 18. Heather adds up until Monday they believed they were on schedule for the original opening date of Wednesday, December 4.
The restaurant will have an 84-person capacity, with room on the mezzanine level for private events. The private event space can host up to 40 people for sit-down table service.
The restaurant will be open Wednesday through Saturday, from 10 AM until 9 PM, and 10 AM until 10 PM on Friday and Saturday. Every morning, the restaurant menu will consist of sweet and savory pastries, including Scottish donuts, Scottish scones, quiches, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and sandwiches made with homemade bread. Lunch will be served Wednesday through Saturday and beginning at 5:00 each night dinner and a full cocktail bar will be available.
The Mixer will open in the former Young Hardware building located at 112 East Sixth Street. A ribbon-cutting with the Christian County Chamber of Commerce will take place December 18 at 10:00 AM, with a Business After Hours event to take place beginning at 5:00 that night.
