Hopkinsville Museum Hoping To Reopen Early Next Year

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County are making final preparations to reopen their museum on East Ninth Street that has been closed for over a year.

Executive Director Alissa Keller tells the News Edge they hope to open it early next year.

Keller adds one of the biggest changes people will notice is the museum will be much brighter.

Keller thanks community members who have stepped up to help make the renovations easier. She adds one company recently helped to paint some pieces downstairs that were not scheduled to be painted.

While the main museum remains closed, the Woody Winfree Fire-Transportation Museum remains open weekdays. For more information about both museums, click here.
