An Arkansas man is facing charges after reportedly assaulting his wife Saturday night.
According to a report from Cadiz Police Department Officer Micah Kaminski, 32-year old Thomas Gooch of Texarkana was involved in an altercation with his wife at the Trigg County Recreation Complex. Upon arrival, Gooch’s wife was found with a laceration on her right ear, a bite mark on her right triceps, and said she was punched.
Kaminski said Gooch admitted to being under the influence of meth and had a strong odor of alcohol. He adds while Gooch was in a police cruiser he caused damages when he repeatedly kicked, head-butted, and spat on the doors and windows.
Gooch was arrested and charged with 4th-degree assault, 1st-degree criminal mischief, and alcohol intoxication in a public place – 3rd or greater offense in 12 months.
