Vertical Celebrates One Year In Cadiz By Giving Back

Vertical Wellness celebrated one year of being located in Trigg County Friday with tours and launching the Hemp Harvest for Humankind program.

During the event at the facility on Roger Thomas Road, Vertical CEO J. Smoke Wallin presented checks to three organizations as a part of the program.

Wallin notes they processed 115 acres worth of hemp last year to under 2,000 acres this year.

Additionally, Dr. Brian Parr, Assistant Dean of the Hudson School of Agriculture at Murray State University says they are working closely with Vertical to continue research on the hemp plant.

Other speakers on hand for the event included Calloway County farmer Joseph Kelly, Vertical Chief Operating Officer Drew Milburn, and Bramer Group, LLC CEO Donald Bramer.

Community members on hand got to take full tours of the plant and ask questions about the hemp and CBD extraction process.

Vertical Wellness operates a 90,000 square foot facility, which is one of the largest hemp CBD facilities in the country. Next year, Vertical is expected to produce over 200,000 liters of CBD, worth over $500-million in Cadiz.
