indictment-2-10

The Christian County Grand Jury returned several indictments Friday including wanton endangerment, rape, and criminal abuse of a child.

Jack Kao of Fort Campbell was indicted for two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree assault of a police officer, first degree fleeing or evading police and other charges in connection to a high-speed pursuit on August 2nd. Christian County Sheriff’s spokesman Chris Miller told the News Edge at the scene on August 2 the pursuit began on Pennyrile Parkway when Kao fled from state police on a motorcycle, then veered off exit 11 and continued to flee onto several roads in the county. Miller said the motorcyclist then hit the sheriff’s patrol cruiser on old Madisonville Road and continued to flee until he crashed.

Kao was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to meet with a waiting helicopter to transport him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for leg injuries. Following Kao’s released from the hospital, he was booked into the Christian County Jail.

The grand jury also indicted William Moore of Hopkinsville for first-degree rape and first-degree sodomy. An arrest warrant says on August 16th, 2018 Moore allegedly had sexual intercourse with an unconscious woman who was incapable of consent. Hopkinsville Police reported Moore was arrested after his DNA was tested and confirmed he was the perpetrator.
