Man Charged After Fleeing From Hopkinsville Police Saturday

A Hopkinsville man is facing charges after fleeing from police on Butler Road Saturday morning.

Police went to the 2000 block of Butler Road shortly after 8:30 a.m. after received reports that a man bleeding from his head had entered a home. Upon arrival, officers reportedly saw 30-year old Robert Steele coming from behind the home on a motorcycle. He was ordered to stop but police say Steele fled and drove behind a house and then cut through a woodline onto Jago Road where he was apprehended.

Steele was lodged in the Christian County Jail charged with second degree fleeing or evading police, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, and no motorcycle operator’s license.
