A man was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon on East 7th Street Wednesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say probation and parole found a gun in the bedroom of 27-year-old Edward Prease who is a convicted felon.
Probation and parole were at the location for a home visit.
