Cadiz City Council Honors Ahart For Outstanding Work

Cadiz City Council honored City Clerk Brian Ahart during Tuesday evening’s meeting.

Mayor Todd King notes that Ahart recently received a Kentucky Master Municipal Clerk certification.

According to Kentucky Clerks, the certification is issued by the Kentucky Municipal Clerk Association and requires a minimum of 80 hours of training, among other qualifications.

Renaissance Director Casey Parrent told council members she is busy making final preparations for the Trigg County Country Ham Festival that occurs next weekend in downtown Cadiz.

Parrent notes planning for the annual Halloween Safe Night is also underway. The event takes over Main Street Thursday evening, October 31 from 4:00 until 6:00.

At the end of the meeting, Ahart said a special prayer for Amelia Wilson. She serves as a Field Representative for 1st District Congressman James Comer and is currently awaiting her second liver transplant. Wilson’s husband, Allen, serves as Cadiz City Attorney.

Mayor King thanked both of them for what they have done for the city.

The next council meeting is slated to be held Tuesday evening, November 5 at 6:00 inside Cadiz City Hall.
