Teamwork Results In Successful Races And Harvest Fest

Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation officials were expressing their gratitude Monday morning for the teamwork it took to make the Hoptown Half Marathon and 5K races as well as the Hoptown Harvest Fest a huge success over the weekend.

Parks and Rec Superintendent Tab Brockman Monday morning praised their maintenance team for their efforts.

Brockman noted there were over 600 runners that participated in the half-marathon and 5K races. He says they have received a lot of positive feedback from the runners and guests.

Recreation Programs Coordinator Toby Hudson noted the races and festival took weeks of preparation by a lot of different departments.

Brockman stated they hope the turnout this past weekend has helped kick start runners for the Turkey Trot coming up Thanksgiving morning on November 28th.
