Despite rain across most of the area Thursday morning, Caldwell County officials have determined that conditions are too dry and have issued a burn ban in the county until further notice.
Judge-Executive Larry Curling says that after consulting with Princeton Fire Chief Brent Francis and the Kentucky Division of Forestry a burn ban needed to be issued for the area.

He adds that burn ban has been issued in hopes of dramatically decreasing the possibility of accidental forest and grass fires.
