Crofton Elementary Student Named CCPS Student Of The Month

A Crofton Elementary School student was presented with the Christian County Public Schools Student of the Month for September during the school board meeting Thursday night.

Principal Lori Dexter says 6th-grader Alexiis (Lexii) Hilton demonstrates Cougar PRIDE. At the school, PRIDE stands for positive, respectful, independent and determined every day. Dexter notes Hilton is a perfect example because she exhibits these leadership qualities daily.

From Principal Dexter:

POSITIVE
She comes in daily with a smile on her face and always has an optimistic outlook on the day and any task she is assigned.

RESPECTFUL
Lexii shows respect to all staff and also all of her peers. She includes all of her classmates and values their thoughts and opinions. She is able to find the good in everyone and magnifies those qualities in others.

INDEPENDENT
Lexii is self-motivated and takes responsibility for her own learning. She understands she is responsible for herself and takes initiative by going above and beyond with her work and her actions.

DETERMINED
She consistently sets goals, challenges herself, and then works to achieve her goals. She gives her very best in everything she is asked to do and takes any opportunity given to better herself.

EVERY DAY

Lexii exhibits these qualities each and every day.
