Murray State University Athletics is under new leadership this year and has high goals for student development.
Director of MSU Athletics Kevin Saal spoke to Kiwanians during their weekly meeting Thursday, noting the school is home to fifteen different sports and over 350 student-athletes. In his leadership, Saal says he wants to focus on the core values in MSU athletics.
He notes he is focusing on student development and preparing student-athletes for life after graduation.
Saal says he is proud of the Racer basketball accomplishments and the records they have set in the Ohio Valley Conference.
He adds ticket sales for Racer football are up by 63% from last year, and he is looking forward to a good season.
