Trigg Planning Commission Approves Refund To Greenbriar Realty

The Cadiz-Trigg County Planning Commission approved to refund a $2,500 application fee to Greenbriar Realty Corp. during their monthly meeting Tuesday evening.

Chairman Bob Brame says Greenbriar requested the refund after plans to construct a subdivision have since been withdrawn.

In a letter to the commission, Greenbriar Realty Corp. President Jerry Wells says “the local economic conditions do not warrant our continuation and planning of this subdivision for the present time.” Wells adds Greenbriar will submit a new application in the future if a new or modified plan is considered.

Members in attendance voted unanimously to refund Greenbriar the money that was put into an escrow account. The bylaws of the commission note that a $2,500 engineer fee is required on any project that goes through them, the money is put into an escrow account and used to pay the engineer, with any leftover money returned to the owner.
