Hopkinsville City Council could receive a recommendation from Mayor Carter Hendricks during next week’s meeting concerning the hiring of the next Hopkinsville Fire Department Chief.
Hendricks tells the News Edge they are winding through the process to find the next chief.
The search for a new fire chief for the city comes after Freddy Montgomery retired from the department July 31 to become the leader of the Clarksville Fire Department.
