Trades Fair At The Homeplace In LBL This Weekend

The Friends of Land Between the Lakes will host an 1850 Trades Fair at the Homeplace this weekend.

Homeplace Lead Interpreter Cindy Earls says the fair will highlight the historical trades of 1850 and is a wonderful outing and learning experience for the entire family. She says everyone can discover life in the 1850s and they hope that will encourage the next generation to learn those trades.

Earls says the fair will include making quilts and brooms, along with flint knapping and many other 1850 trades and demonstrations.
