The Kentucky Citizen Foster Care Review Board will host a forum in Christian County Thursday night in which community members can ask questions and voice their concerns on the state’s foster care system.
Savannah Young, chair of one of two Foster Care Review Boards in Christian County, says the public is invited to the regional community forum on improving outcomes for children and families in Kentucky involved in the foster care system.

Foster care officials indicate the regional forum is among the reforms called for in House Bill 1, the adoption and foster care legislation passed in 2018 to improve outcomes for children in out-of-home care.
The forum will be at the James E. Bruce Convention Center, located at 303 Conference Center Drive in Hopkinsville, on Thursday afternoon, August 22, from 5:30 until 7:00.
